TRUE SWAMP by Jon Lewis

My best friend, Tom Hart, who also happens to be one of the best comics educators in the world, is starting a comics school in Gainesville, Florida (which also happens to be one of the best cities in the US).

It’s called Sequential Artists Workshop, and it’s gonna be an amazing thing.  Workshops begin in just a few months.

The school is fundraising now.  A bunch of us have donated original art to the cause.  If you support the school at the $400 level you get to take your pick of pages by several different artists, including the cover of the TRUE SWAMP Trade Paperback from 1996.  It’s larger than my usual original art size, has one of my few employments of dry brush, and features my only ever use of zip-a-tone (on the water boatman beetle).

Please help seed SAW, and take this piece home.
